Mosquito Pass and Birdseye Gulch – Breckenridge, Colorado

Follow the track log from Breckenridge, Colorado south on Route 9 to Alma. Mosquito Pass is an easy trail for 4WD vehicles. It is scenic and fun. There are several side trails that lead to old mine sites. The second part of the track log is Birdseye Gulch.

It was dry when we drove the trail and we had no problems. However if it is wet it can be hazardous. I was told of a pick up that was buried up to the windows in mud when it was wet. If Birdseye is too wet, continue on Mosquito Pass to Leadville and return to Breckenridge by highway.
