From I-70 take Dillon Exit and take Route 6 to Keystone. Continue on and turn right on Co Rd 5 to Montezuma. In Montezuma turn right at sign for Webster Pass (Co Rd 275). Follow the track log up Webster Pass Trail to Webster Pass. Here you will see the final decent down Red Cone on the left.
The Red Cone decent is one way only for the descent. Red Cone is considered a difficult trail. Herds of mountain goats frequent this area. They often approach vehicles making for a nice photo opportunity. Looking west you will be able to see Radical Hill Trail that leads to the Middle Fork of the Swan. Radical Hill is narrow and can be difficult. From Webster Pass descend on Hand Cart Trail. This is a beautiful shelf road.
This trail ends at Highway 285. Turn right (west) and follow the track log to Boreas Pass Road. Turn right to Breckenridge. This is a nice one day loop from Breckenridge and back.
