Mt. Lincoln – Alma, Colorado

Follow the track log from Route 9 south of Alma, Colorado. Mt. Lincoln is an interesting trip up a 14, 000 mountain. Above tree line the trail climbs steeply with many switchbacks. Any high clearance 4WD vehicle should be able to make it up this trail. Views of surrounding mountains are beautiful. The trail is chained off near the top by some mining owners. The track log splits at the top after I reached the chained off area. All branches of the track are interesting trails at 13,000. Return the same way you came up.
